I want to rent a car from the future
Europpos, what are the mainstream car rental agencies in and around Paris (CDG or Rouen) and London (Gatwick and maybe London proper) ? I’ve heard about Sixt and know Enterprise and the lot are over there. What are your go-to agencies? I need something for 7 passengers minimum , so Citroen Spacetourer or the Merc V class size.
Look how cute it is!

I’ve been pleased with Sixt. Rented an A1 with 200 miles from them for Europpomeet, and a Miata for the other Europpomeet.
I did find it was @20 euros cheaper booking through the sixt site vs orbitz. Also I used Amex insurance so I never heard back about the wheel scratch on the A1.

Only ever used Hertz. Was perfectly happy with them but I didn’t pay so no idea if it’s cheap or expensive.

Only had one rental and that was from Enterprise while the car was in the bodyshop.
The thing is in many places you’ll only be given what is available either there or nearby.
Was supposed to by given an Insignia/Regal, but when we got there they gave us an i30/Elantra as an upgrade as they were going to give us a Renegade (God no).
May be worth calling a couple of places before booking online to see what they have or have access to.
Try for the Merc V Class or a Ford Transit Custom Tourneo.

Have had good luck with Avis, book through their local sites and usually good rates and you pretty consistently get the car you book.

Rented from sixt both times I've been in Europe; 2013 got a B-Class in Germany and 2018 got an A3 in the U.K.

Thanks for the advice! Due to the apparent rarity of this vehicle size and class, I will be making arrangements via calling or email with the branch I’ll be renting from ahead of time. We’d have the rental for a month, so I want to make sure it’s the right one.

Good to know re: Amex. I need to ask my CC company what their international rental coverage is.

I’ve never booked through Avis, so I’ll check them out more closely. I don’t want any surprises with having to carry this many people around for a month.

Honestly, t hat’s exactly what I’m hoping for. A pretty decent experience. That at least means I’m doing the right thing and gives me no reason to be suspicious.

The Citroen Space Tourer (aka Peugeot Traveller aka Toyota Proace) are okay and seat 8, there is very limited luggage space behind the third row.
A Ford Transit Custom Tourneo will seat 9 and have plenty of room for luggage and occupants to be comfy in.
The short wheelbase offers 922 litres of space with all seats in place while the long wheelbase pictured offers 1,447 litres of luggage space.
The SWB comes in at 4.97 metres in length while the LWB comes in at 5.34 metres in length.
Enterprise do the Ford Transit Custom Tourneo but not from the Gatwick area (ie Gatwick, Crawley, etc...).
The category you’ll be looking for is ‘People mover’, ‘Minibus’, etc...
You may need to look at van hire locations or hiring two vehicles if possible (which may actually be a cheaper route) .

Any of the major brands will be a reasonable experience. Just avoid the smaller more dodgy brands who have the super cheap headline prices, but make it up in ‘Damage’ fees.

That looks like a great size. I’ll poke around a bit more and see if I can find one to rent.

No worries. Enterprise has them just not in the Gatwick area, Thrifty has them but when I looked it worked out as £306 for four days.
